Ultra Stamping & Assembly, Inc. manufactures 1,000,000 inserts annually for the Insert Molding and Automotive industry. Inserts are provided in single pieces and supplied in custom packaging.

The complexity of this specific insert constructed from 0.0320 of an inch thick 110 copper required multiple selective plating finishes. USA's customer plating specifications required: select tin, nickel, and gold finish to be applied to specific features of the insert with areas of exposed base copper.

USA partnered with plating supplier to develop a selective plating process producing the part in a single stamping operation.

Efficiently fulfilling select plating requirements the insert has two distinctive extruded straight sided dimples held 0.0280 - 0.0350 of an inch tall and 0.0630 - 0.0650 of an inch wide, terminal widths are held to +/- .001 of an inch and are formed to 15 degrees. Monitored in real time with quality inspection software.

Parts are hand packed into custom packaging created by R&D at onset of project ensuring parts are not damaged in transit. Illinois customers enjoy JIT delivery.
